This morning I finally had time to breath, it’s been a really busy couple of weeks. I have been busy with 4 different business’s trying to balance things out. I finally was able to check my social networking accounts and logged into Twitter to check if I had any messages. Going through all the direct messages I noticed a pattern happening. I had 30 direct messages and 28 of them were telling me how to optimize, enhance, my business online with their system. Being in Social Networking/ Marketing for a while now plus working for VividLife.me it’s scary to see that people are still trying to pitch their product or service with out connecting with their community. People try to put their service, product, business and potential income before their customer, prospect and the term I use Business Friend.
Which is why so many people are struggling in business, especially online business. People are not looking to be pitched and/or sold, people are looking for a solution to a problem. Now if you can give them a solution to that problem now you have built a relationship. The person who has a problem has come to you took your information or product and/or service applied it which resolved their challenge. Now they are thankful for your help and will recommend your information, product and/or service.
Now I know the argument right now coming up is how do I make money, I don’t want to work for free and I am here to tell you this. Think of a time that you got extreme value from something that you really wanted and/or needed. What would you have paid for it? I’ll give you an example of a situation when I hurt my back. I was bed ridden for a 4 weeks because my herniated disc was so much pain. I finally was able to start moving again and went to go see Carolyn Zepf an Athletic Therapist who helped me heal my lower back pain. Carolyn saw how much pain I was in and right away started treating me. Giving tons of information and she knew that she couldn’t treat me I would have to go to an Osteopath to have my back treated. Now Carolyn didn’t take any money for this she just wanted to help me out, because of her help I have referred anyone I know who has had a injury to go see Carolyn. Not because I know she will give them free information and the people wouldn’t’ t have to pay to get amazing information. It’s because Carolyn provided me with a problem to my pain that I was able to get a resolution for and I am so thankful to her because she was concerned about me, not her business or her service.
Think about that for your business, what value can you give your business friends that will help them with their frustrations, challenges, and/or pain. Provide that great value and people will appreciate that and want to work with you.
I appreciate we all have to make money to survive but if you help your business friends and provide them with great value they will take care of you.
