On February 10th, 2012 I wrote a blog post called “Starting Over Again” where the main picture is this one below which really says it all for me

It’s only been 13 days since I wrote that post, I can’t believe it either and I have broke through most of the obstacles to the point that I am almost back on my feet. I am still working on the financial which I know will take time but it is coming.  I couldn’t have done this all by myself I have a great network of friends who have stepped up and worked with me to get me where I am today. With my drive, determination, dream and their knowledge, support and understanding I wouldn’t have turned this around so quickly.  Just to name a few people I would like to thank for all their guidance, love and support: Nikki Hayes , David Cohen , Ann Burns , Laurie Carleton Smith , Suzanne Hanlon , Jennifer Kennedy , David Ledoux just to name a few. I have hyper linked their names to their Facebook Pages if you want to connect with them. All I ask is this PLEASE be respectful when connecting with them. They are amazing people and if you treat them that way they will provide amazing insight,  support and welcome you into their community. Which means NO Pitching or Selling they have their own successful businesses and are doing very well.

Now lets talk about how this has turned around because I am sure some if you are going through the same challenges I just went through.

• Loss of job, career, business went under
• Break up with loved one
• Having to find work to make ends meet
• Concerned about bills

Some of us are facing these challenges right now as I am writing this post. The question is what do you do to get out of it, how do you find a job, get a steady income coming in so you can put food on the table, roof over your head and clothes on your back? How was I able to go through my situation and within 13 days have money coming in, be able to pay my bills and have a strategy that is working to get me back to living my legacy?

This is the formula that I used to get myself to where I am today:

First, I worked on my expectations- Which means I had to make sure my ego was in check that I become truly humble in this situation and not let my ego get the best of me. For example some of the lies it would bring up are: “I can’t work at that warehouse, I’m a successful Coach”, “$10.25 an hour, WHAT! that is too little, I was making $100.00 per hour”…etc.  I had to understand that this is my journey and to be thankful for what I have, to appreciate that $10.25 was what I needed to make right now to have stability. Not to settle on $10.25 but to appreciate that I could have a foundation to build on and to manage my time so I could do the things I needed to rebuild.  For example:

• Interviews
• Talks/Presentation/Workshops
• Meeting with people
• Going to networking meetings
• Social Marketing (Blog Posts/Videos)

My skills have not changed I just need to work harder to market myself and educate people that I don’t just have the knowledge but I can prove what I can do. The best way now is to show you personally.

Which brings me to my second point- Have an action plan in place don’t be complacent because money is coming in get frustrated and unhappy that you are in this place that you want to be living your legacy. Now it is a little bit of a conflict in what I am saying and I will explain.  If you are happy and joyful that you are working at a warehouse you will settle and not work to achieve higher levels of success. You will not push yourself to get out of that job and one month will become 6 months, which will become a year and you will look back and say if I only did…. I should have ….

To show you exactly how this conversation would go for me personally ” Thank you for letting me work at this warehouse and paying me, I do appreciate it. I am not happy with the situation, I am tired, fatigued, sore, I am not able to work with people like I want to, I only have a limited amount of time to do the things I enjoy. So I don’t have time to waste working too long at this job which is only temporary and I need to move on.”

Now the action plan:

1) Write out your Legacy; what do you want to do each and every day

2) Tell the entire world! Seriously, anyone you come in contact with when they ask you what you do give them your 30 second elevator speech.  ”My name is Brandon Krieger I’m a Social Technologies, Holistic Lifestyle Coach and Professional Speaker. I work with People world wide to help them achieve success personally and Professionally”

3) Cut down on all expenses that are not needed at this time. VERY IMPORTANT do not focus on the debt, reduce what you can and set a plan in motion to pay your bills. The more you can automate it the better at this point. Speak to a good financial advisor who can show you how to do this. If you can’t find one send me an e-mail

4) Here is where all your focus needs to be- How can you make money doing what you enjoy by:

- Having a clear understanding of what you want to do

-Market Research

- Connect with Recruiters

- Connect with the niche community

- Ask questions and see how you can help

- Tell the world what you are doing

and when you are using Social Marketing this is what I would recommend you do

1) Educate

2) Answer questions

3) Then promote your product/service

Key points here 

When it comes to sales – People buy from people they KNOW, LIKE AND TRUST that is why it’s so important to follow this 80/20 rule. 80% of the time you should be doing #1 Educating and #2 Answering Questions and then 20% of the time #3 Promoting your product/service.

This is just a brief overview of what I have been doing to get back on my feet to the point that I have several proposals I am working on for companies to help them with their Social Technologies and Social Marketing.  I have had a few interviews in the last 2 weeks for great companies that are still in the interview process, thanks Jasneet from www.altisHR.com  amazing Recruiting and Marketing Strategist.

Yesterday was a busy day for me, I had 1 early morning meeting with a large Corporation and then in the afternoon I had another amazing meeting with one of the top marketing companies in Toronto. Both meetings were in regards to me working Social Marketing with them.

The question I have for myself is this

“Am I doing enough?”

“Am I hungry enough to achieve success?”

“What am I willing to do that the other people in my niche are just not doing?”

If you are an entrepreneur ask yourself these exact questions and see what you come up with. I find that every time I ask these questions there is always more I can do.

Gary Vaynerchuk calls it “Hustling” and to be honest I never realized how much you have to want to succeed. You have to be willing to give it your all. Put yourself out there and when you hear “No” you just keep going, find other ways.

Ask yourself these questions today and see what you come up with.

Interesting how at the exact time you need something it is right there for you.  I’m sure we all have heard this from someone at one point in our life. If you ask and listen you will receive the answer, or something along that line.

Yesterday I received a tongue lashing from someone I highly respect and consider a really good friend. I was pretty up set and asked a simple question “What the fuck!” Then a lot crap followed, my negative ego saw a huge opening and it had a field day with me for about 15 minutes until I thought I need to ask a better question.  Which was “What do I do now?” I looked up at my Facebook feed and saw this picture pop up. I was like really! Come on!

I personally know this is how the universe works, if you settle yourself, ask the right questions and listen the answers will appear.

I have been receiving amazing videos, content and just listening to motivational audios guiding me back to a better state.

Which brings me to today. I decided to treat myself like a coaching client that I would work with that basically is at their last straw and needs my help.

First I did a history of what was going on just so I had an understanding how bad it was.  If you understand where they have been you know how much they have learned as well if there are cycles they are going to repeat which might need to be changed.

My Answer- When I was most successful I was chasing my dream but then settled because I got into a relationship and lost that drive that nothing will stop me to be successful, that I would do anything to get to that next level; stay up until 3am in the morning when I had to work at 6am, read and study until my eyes hurt, talk to everyone and anyone about what I wanted to accomplish, go to interviews after interviews until I got a contract, then once I got that one worked there for a period of time I would work on a better contract and then a better one, then one I had was never good enough, I would work my ass of at my contract doing the best job I could, taking extra hours you name it.

My biggest challenge wasn’t the relationships it was me, I settled and didn’t realize it.

Second I asked myself about the present and how am I doing today.  To be compassionate with myself and understand that I might need to vent and deal with some things as well understand my true pain and frustration I am dealing with today.

My Answer- I’m feeling disappointment that I am in this situation again. Kind of confused of what to do and where to go. I know my skill set is this

•  Warehousing
•  Security
• Customer Service
• IT Work
•  Social Marketing/ Social Technologies
• Coaching People

The main ones I want to work towards is Social Technologies Coaching combined with Holistic Lifestyle Coaching.

Third what do I want to accomplish in the next 3 months and 6 months this way I can do some future planning and draw out an action plan on how to get there. Plus I can ask the right questions so that I can open myself up to receive information, assistance if need be and have a clear direction to where I need to go.

My Answer -  What I would like to accomplish is get back on my feet in the next 30 days financially and start growing my coaching clients and professional speaking again. In the next 3 months back to coaching full time and building my business. 6 months I will be in demand because I provide great service, results and people love working with me.

How I am going to do this?

My Answer - Since I have more time on my hands here is my action plan

1) Get a J.O.B. to cover my cost for at least the next 6 months this way I don’t have to worry about finances

2) Market Research – find out what people need help with. See if there is something I can provide a solution for that challenge either by one on one coaching, e-book, seminar, talk, webinar…etc How can I provide help to them.

3) Provide Education- writing articles, doing video’s, seminars…etc this has several benefits which are

• I get things off my chest and stop holding them in, very therapeutic
• I’m able to brain storm my ideas and be held accountable because I’m doing a public journal that anyone can read.
• People I might have the opportunity to work with will see what I can do and realize what type of person I am. That I am honest, hard working, don’t give up and will stay true to my word. “My word is my bond”
• Help people who might be going through the same situation and don’t know what to do

4) Schedule – Daily blogging and possibly bi weekly video’s depending on content and time.

5) Making a list of companies I want to work with and finding ways of connecting with them that are not through their normal channels. I have a few ideas but one challenge which I’m putting out there to the universe is, in the next 30 days I will personally own a

That is my rough draft of my action plan and I have a morning meeting with myself each morning until I achieve success.

I’m sitting here late at night doing some market research and wanted to see how one of my keywords were doing, “Social Technologies”.  You can see the results above, let me explain what they mean just to make sure we are all on the same page.

First this is geographically done meaning no matter where you are on the world you will not see the same results as I do. Google has changed their algorithm to provide us with the most relevant search results. One of those changes is by location.  I tell you this because if you do a search and don’t see the exact same results you might question where am I receiving my search results from.

First the key word “Social Technologies”  which is one of the terms I use to describe all the Social sites, media, networking…etc the are all just technologies to help us better connect with people on a global scale.

Next “About 275,000,000 results (0.19 seconds)”  which means there are 275 million links created by people that are related to “Social”, “Technologies” and “Social Technologies”. Now if you use proper SEO and tag your content, website and/or video correctly you will have better results.

Which means:

Description: Social Technologies

Link/URL: www.socialtechnologies.com or www.domainname.com/social-technologies or any various of the two.

SEO: Alt Tags, Meta Tags, Descriptions…etc are all properly coded with “Social Technologies”

Tags: “Social Technologies”

Relevant content: Written, recorded audio or video talking about Social Technologies in the correct context.  For a quick example if I was to write and article talking about fishing and every paragraph I added “Social Technologies” it wouldn’t be relevant which now the search engines can scan content of all kinds and decipher if it’s relevant.

I wanted to give you a little insight before I tell you what my Social Technologies challenge is.

If you look back at the picture you can see I have put a RED arrow pointing to the links. When you go through the list you can see I am not even close to the top. My website is 4th from the bottom on the first page, now don’t get me wrong it takes people a lot of hard  SEO work, proper marketing to get to the first page.  Which I am going to challenge myself over the next 30 days to crush the first page of “Social Technologies”.

Here is my own personal 30 day Challenge

1) To have one of links rank #1 on the first page of Google for the key word “Social Technologies”

2) To have the entire first page with just my content, of course it will all be relevant information helping people how to use Social Technologies properly.  No false backlinks…etc no Black Hat SEO tricks all proper marketing that I have learned over the years.

Today’s date is February 12th, 2012 and I will do a follow up post by March 12th 2012. Now if I complete the challenge sooner I will post my results before.

Home work for you guys reading this…If you’re in business and want to really get in front of the people searching for the keyword that your customers are searching for. I would recommend you do the exact same thing I am doing with one of your main key words.

First let me say thank you to all my family and friends who have been amazing in helping me through this transition period. Change is never easy but if you embrace the change, good things will come.

Today I would like to thank Nikki Hayes who sent me this video of Kyle Cease this morning. As I was saying in yesterday’s post, I was listening to Tony Robbins yesterday and this was just another reminder.

This just goes to show that we all can have limiting beliefs if we chose too. Damn mine came up over the last week like tornado. Or we could have unlimiting beliefs to achieve whatever we want in life. All you have to do is ask the right questions and then put action towards it.

What questions are you asking today to work on your unlimiting beliefs?

Now here is a question I want to ask you. Have you ever really listened to that voice in your head when you ask these questions? Have you take actions on the recommendations?

WOW it has been a rough week for me, everything in my life has been flipped upside down, work, relationships and finances.

Starting over is never easy to do this will be my second time in life where I’ve had to rebuild from scratch.

I want to give you a little history first, most of you don’t know but I dropped out of High School to work full-time. I wasn’t seeing any benefits from school at the time and decided I wanted to start making money. I first started working at McDonald’s full-time and then progressed into working at warehouses doing general labour jobs. I progressed into a manager’s position at a warehouse thanks to a friend of mine and after a few years decided I wanted to work in security as a Security Guard, not IT Security just to clarify. It was a great job and lots of perks but I got married to soon, did it for all the wrong reasons and with in 2 years we were in the process of getting divorced. Through this process I decided I wanted more so I went back to school to become a Network Specialist working in IT. I stayed with that career until my back injury learned an abundant knowledge about Health and Wellness. I decided to become a Holistic Lifestyle Coach and coach people on how to have better wellness Personally, Professionally and Spiritually. From there because of the recession and what people were looking how to use the Social networks I decided to coach people on Social Technologies.

Now you have an idea how I progressed and FYI I did go back and get my High school diploma and I graduated from triOS College to continue my formal education. I don’t stop learning each and every day

We come to the present day which it has happened again, not the married part but my life being flipped up side down again as I mentioned above. Now this is no ones fault and I am not here to point fingers. It is just a hard time for everyone and this is how the situation is affected me.

Since my revenue stream has been taken away, my Social Technologies coaching business has been slow which I think it’s because of the recession among other things.  I have had to look at what I needed to do to bring in revenue because I have to pay the bills.  Trust me it is hard for anyone to have to step back from what you are doing, but to step back to the start by working temp jobs is hard. I had to really fight against my ego and leave it at the door and I know I have to do what it takes, no matter what it is. While going through my first start over I worked as a bouncer as I went through school so I understand the importance of not giving up and doing what it takes.

For now I have decided working with a temp agency would be the direction I will go right now while I work on meetings, interviews and negotiating contracts.

I’m always honest with you guys and hold nothing back… I will tell you it was hard to walk up to the warehouse door this morning at 8am and tell the warehouse manager I was there for work. I am a public speaker, martial artists, and removed huge guys from bars without a second thought. I was pretty nervous and uncomfortable to walk in there to start work, but I put that all aside and went in.

The work I had to do today was general labour clean up; here is a picture below of the main area prior to cleaning it  

What you kind of see in front of the broom is raised cement which my job today was to level out the floor.  Using a hammer drill and there were 4 rows of this type of cement raised.  I had to clean everything up, break down the cement and then clean up again.

Before I got started I was able to meet some of the guys who worked at this job and wow it was a humbling experience. Asking a question as simple as “How long have you guys all worked here” created a conversation which I felt in AHH! over. There where engineers, medical professionals…etc. that we’re all working at this warehouse for 15 years+ for one reason or another. In my head I was thinking WOW the dedication these guys have and loyalty to work this long with a company with their expertise.  They were all amazing guys and so helpful, just easy going and loved what they did. Who am I to come in and complain about the challenges I am going through.

Now back to work, I brought my iPhone which has Tony Robbins Personal Power II series on it. I was able to listen too my MP3′s while I was working, this was another humbling experience.  Listening to 7 hours of Tony Robbins really broke down my life, what my challenges are and how I relate to them. It is easier to look at other peoples challenges and see what is going on vs. looking at your own especially when you are in the heat of everything. Thanks to my Grandmother she taught me to keep pushing to never give up, to be open to help and listen. Which I listened to every word that Tony Robbins had to say and Wow. Realizing I’m not in the life I want, not living with passion and letting my F.E.A.R.’s get the best of me really opened my eyes.

Tony says over and over again

• you have to really feel the pain of where you are because we move towards pleasure and away from pain.
• Then you have to want to change.
• Have an emotional investment.
• Then decide.
• Then consistent actions and learning by doing.

At the start of this morning I was thinking; am I going to make it? How am I going to pay my bills? Do I still want to be a Coach?

After meeting those great guys today, listening to Tony Robbins I realized everything that has happened is just the past and what I have learned from this is:

1) I’m not financially independent like I have been in my past, which is my responsibility.

2) I was reliant on someone else

3) I didn’t really think of what I needed for myself and take responsibility of making it happen

4) I’m not happy!

I really connected to what has happened and realized this change is actually very good for me, it’s like a fresh start but I have a lot of work ahead of me.

I need to build up some revenue first and for most, to be able to take care of my expenses and having fun while doing it. Then I am going to keep doing what I love which is Coaching people. Tony Robbins stated in his audio’s we are no different from him. He just understands what he has to do, then does it.  Which reminds me of the book “Think and Grow Rich” where you read the stories of hardships and how these amazing people went through such challenges but they never gave up. They understood their dream, kept with it no matter what anyone said and achieved it.

My dream is to be a Social Technologies coach combined with my Holistic Lifestyle Coaching background and teach, present, consult to people my Keeping Network & Success Simple principals.  This has never changed and is the legacy I would like to leave behind.

That’s why my goal is this

1) Work contracts with Entrepreneurs and Businesses, consulting on Social Marketing and Social Technologies.

2) Build up my financial stability again

3) Start working with the people I am in business with to help grow our businesses through  Social Marketing, Professional Speaking and Social Technologies Coaching.
